If there was some magic way to get 100k organic streams and tons of new fans/followers, everyone in this sub and beyond would be a working musician. It's also just the way the game works now. So the affordable ones won't be any good, most likely. The time and effort it takes to make legitimate connections and build legitimate relationships with curators can be enormous, so the people that do that price accordingly, which tends to out-price DIY artists. In other words, because the curators attached to PP get paid, someone can make some botted playlists and PP may not realize it too quickly if they aren't vetting like 24/7. They don't dive into playlists that get attached to their service as much as they should because they just want a robust user experience. There are so many now they've got to figure out SOME way to justify existing, which often means bots, dead playlists, etc It's not a scam per se, playlist services are just getting shittier for a number of reasons
